I don't know much about the history of my car. The car's "birth certificate" has details of its original colour, upholstery colour, date of manufacture, etc. As you can see, the car was originally white with red seats.

The Vehicle Licensing Authority provided me with a list of the car's previous owners going back as far as 1977. Presumably they don't have records before that. The car spent the period between 1982 and 1997 with a single owner in Petah Tikva, near Tel Aviv. From 1977 until 1980 it lived with someone called Yigal Bashan. If it is the same person, this is quite a well known Israeli singer. My car belonged to a celeb!

The car was first registered in Israel on 10th October 1968, and I am the ninth owner.

The engine currently installed in the car is not its original one.

My association with the car began in May 2001, and ownership was officially transferred to me on 4/6/2001. I found the car in some classified ads on the Internet. I had never heard of the Type 34 until then, so I looked it up on a search engine and found the Type 34 Registry site. When I saw what kind of car it was, I was pretty much hooked, and when I went to look at it for the first time I bought it despite my shock at its condition, mainly because it was more or less rust free.
